I agree. It seems as though all the doctors want to do is put you on medicine. I'll be going to a rheumatologist shortly because my PCP was tired of me resisting prolia. So send me to the specialist. Before I even go I'll bet she's going to push medication which is ok if that's the last resort. These days it's the first resort. I have high parathyroid numbers and have been climbing the last 3 years. Why hasn't that been checked out? Sometimes I think I do better research than the doctors!

Why can we not have another way to speak up for ourselves? Have the doctors now become our new god? Where else can we go to for help to stay alive; and not a dictatorship. God help us please?

I and others in our position have done the same. We certainly need oversight. but yes I agree.

I have not looked this up so may I ask a few questions please? Instead of asking questions perhaps your doctor would write them down for you. (Even though I could believe that there are other ways of handling this. What are reasons of not changing the medical ways and ae there other medical ways? Or is she waiting for this to come to a head?

I agree with you. There are great places like Norman Parathyroid and Moffitt but they seem to be doing the same.. they are probably getting their orders from the same people. (Must be careful). But they are there to try. Please ignore my ignorance as it all must be my fault. BUT TRY, TRY, TRY. LOVE

Wow. Parathyroid is so important for bone health. I don't think PCPs should be treating osteoporosis. There is a good chance that the parathyroid is causing osteoporosis. After parathyroid treatment (often surgery) you'll probably want an osteo drug.
Cheers you resisted Prolia.
