@gailfaith I have not heard of wound desensitization before your post. Searching the internet, I found this article
http://handtoelbow.com/patient-desensitization-exercises/

Is this the type of physio exercises you're talking about? Has it been recommended to you?

Yes, this is what I am referring to and yes my DPT recommended it and he was surprised no doctor recommended it. I went on line and found a great demo but using the address given does not always get you to the right article. The address is askdrJo.com. Dr Jo is a female therapist. I started dong it using the cotton ball and rough towel as she demo-ed, and a few other misc. textured things around the house, I'm sure you have to keep it up for a while before you see any benefit to doing it. @gailfaith

I like Dr. Jo's videos and followed her stretching recommendations for plantar fasciitis https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0PeVmTMdWhk (Gail you'll like it because she includes her dog).

I think this is the video that you are referring to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v_ScGu_IjG8
I assume that you are experiencing pain after your scooter accident that you wish to desensitize. Please let us know if these exercises helped you.

I wish I could exercise but it hurt so bad I can't do anything even laying down I hurt 24/7 it the worst pain
