Protein In Urine, Test Says High

A couple of things. On this forum, we talk a lot about the significance of the trend rather than any one point in time. Granted, an abnormality at one point in time is alarming, but either retest immediately or wait 6 to 8 weeks again to see if a trend develops. For me, personally, I had a long term trend of high protein in urine as well. It took a while, but I was able to lower my lab results with the help of a dietitian and my urologist..

@collegeprof thank you. I appreciate your help.

Please could you tell me what you did to lower protein in urine? I have high protein in the urine too. I have MGUS too with a ratio and am very worried about my kidney. There is a kind of MGUS called "Monoclonal Gammopathy of Renal Significance" which I have read should be treated. I do not have high creatinine but I have high Cystatin C which then shows I have a very low EGFR.
