My doctor prescribed Gabapentin after my spine surgery but only 300 mg. at bedtime which really helped me to sleep. After I stopped seeing my surgeon, my internal medicine doctor cut it down to 100 mg. At bedtime but it was not helping me to sleep so I told her I was going to increase it to 200 mg. At bedtime and it helps me to have a restful night. I do have an off/balance problem in the morning so I have to be careful and use my cane. I hate having to use a cane but it is better than not being able to sleep. It is no fun getting older but if Gabapentin helps, take it and be glad….but I am worried about the people who are taking such large doses every day. Yvie

My chronic pain was so bad I had to. Plus opiods etc. I guess I built up the tolerance. That is why I'm having Nerve ablation to get off of all pain medications. I don't like pills.
