Annoying Gas

I too struggle with gas since my distal pancreatectomy with splenectomy in early January, 2023. I always take digestive enzymes before I eat but sometimes it doesn’t help. I read that they last for up to an hour after you take them. If you eat again in say 2 or 3 hours you would have to take another one with your first bite of food. You also have to take them even when eating a small snack or drinking a protein smoothie. I also read that eating smaller meals more frequently might help. Sadly, I have a feeling that this is the new way of life as nothing is going to work as well as our pancreas did prior to the surgery. I’m just thankful I’m not diabetic!

Thank you. I, too, am grateful I don’t have diabetes. I do everything you mention. Guess it’s my new normal. I’m hoping time will bring some changes. It’s good to be alive!😊
