Collagen for osteoporosis?

I am adding 'collagen peptides' hydrolyzed types I & II , 11 grams to my coffee every morning for the last 4 months. I've been doing this on my own as I am no longer able to take any prescribed medicines for osteoporosis due to past side effects. My medical Doctor wants me to try Evenity, and will not comment on collagen peptides for osteoporosis as he says there is no research for the results. However, I found research is mentioned in the following article to support the use of collagen peptides in treatment of osteoporosis: https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/collagen-for-osteoporosis. I have a Dexa Scan coming up again in a few weeks, I guess I'll find out. I'll let you know what happens.

Thank you for the info. I have just started taking collagen peptides. I am anxious to hear the results of your DexaScan.

Could you share the collagen peptide product you use? Thank you.

Thank you for finding a scientific study on the effects. I may try collagen based on this. Almost completely turned off by reading that McCormick recommends it. I want science based info.
