😊 Thanks.Might try taurine and choline. I’m not taking anything for depression..actually was on NO prescription drugs at all before long COVID . My Dr has me on methylene blue and LDN..the LDN really helps with joint pain . Not sure about the blue stuff? I need to address the fluctuations in oxygen levels and fatigue ,

Hi klittr3637,

B-3 (niacinamide, non-flushing form only) is not the same as NAD. Niacinamide is the pre-cursor to the body being able to make NAD on it's own again. NAD naturally occurs and is made by the body, under good/healthy circumstances.

The niacinamide will address oxygen levels and the fatigue because once your body has more NAD these basic functions are able to regulate and get back to normal. This is my own intuitive understanding, and how it FELT to me in my own body when I was going through these processes. Clearly I don't have a specific scientific reason but this was my impression when I was going through it. That is why the B-3 is such a game changer because the NAD is absolutely required for all biological processes.

Some people ONLY need B-3 and find themselves back to normal very quickly. I also took an anti-histamine daily (still do actually). Some people take two forms of histamine blockers - H1 and H2 blockers - at least until their extreme symptoms are under control. Hope that helps!

klittr,

Is your joint pain a new symptom? If so, it could also be attributed to the extreme inflammation throughout the body during Covid/long haul. If that is the case, eating anti-inflammatory as well as low histamine diet will help. Some people research MCAS (mast cell activation syndrome) because it is a similar diet/protocol the helps reduce histamines/ inflammation.

I remember the random aches and pains well, in muscle groups as well as limbs, even while resting most of the time. I just refused to see regular doctors because I knew they would just prescribe something to treat symptoms -- not address the actual root cause of the problem. Some people also taking turmeric (to reduce inflammation) but I believe the overall diet is very key.
