Has anyone stopped Evinity before a yr ?

I have been on Evinity for 6 months. My Dr may be taking me off . Getting really bad side affects. They last for a week . Not sure if I should live with it or Stop. I’ll be put on something else. He did mention . With Evinity. The first 6 months. Are your most benefit. What do most of you take after Evenity ? Reclast sounds good . But you can’t have any dental work.
I’m just so confused . I can’t take Forteo . Already used it . Thanks

I am wondering if it would be wiser to do Tymlos or Forteo and then Evenity, if the MD allows that (some don't). It seems that it cannot be done the other way around, with Evenity and then Tymlos or Forteo. We need more research on how to sequence these meds.

Hello. Yes I stopped Evenity after seven months. I could not tolerate the side effects (coughing for 5 weeks and migraines). I started Reclast and have had one infusion. I had side effects but different and not as relentless. Possibly its coincidental timing but after never having Covid, I tested positive 3 weeks post infusion. No one I know had it. It was severe. Possibly its coincidence. I do want to ask the doctor if Reclast affects the immune system.
Best to you.

Thank you , He stopped me and they are starting me on Prolia than Reclast . I guess I will just take an immunity supplement . I am normally really healthy . I too had severe headaches . My migraine meds would not touch it . Had it for days . It was the stiffness in the bones . It was awful . My bone Density is very poor . So that’s why I’m going to be using Prolia . Covid is going around . Could have picked it up anywhere .

I only had 3 injections and had to stop. Heart issues began with second shot and grew worse daily. Lightheadedness, headaches, and insomnia. I was told Evenity clears the system in approximately 8 weeks. It's been 7 weeks for me today and it's so wonderful to be feeling healthy again.

Thanks for sharing. After my first two injections, I also had heart issues, insomnia, lightheaded, bad headaches & nausea. I called my Rheumatologist & I’m going too stop it. She knew I had heart issues & sent me to my Cardiologist who gave her the okay too put me on it even with high cholesterol. Say what? I have been so I’ll I haven’t been out of the house in two weeks. I have tried both Prolia & Evenity. My dental team took me off of Prolia due to dental issues. Can’t afford Forteo. I’m just going too let Mother Nature take it’s course. No more Osteoporosis meds for me. Not worth being this sick. Hope ya all never get reactions like myself but I am very drug sensitive!

Taking Evenity was an awful experience and I'm sorry that you had heart issues too. No permanent damage was done in my case but I hate to think what would have happened if I hadn't had the good sense to stop after 3 injections. I'm now beginning to take vitamin supplements and will faithfully follow an exercise routine because I never want to that Evenity again.

Did you have heart issues before you took it ? I highly recommend you find something . You can’t just stop and start these meds . Especially Prolia. . My endocronologist said Prolia is l a commitment . Your bones go backwards very fast . Forteo has side affects too .

May I ask how you got through the worst 7 weeks. I’m so sick I feel like going too the ER. In my last reply, we shared a lot of the same symptoms except I’m so nauseous all the time. I can’t eat & feel the worst I’ve ever felt. I had all your side effects from Evenity plus severe nausea. That could be from the migraine headaches that I have. Never had headaches quite this severe and insomnia takes a toll on the body. If anyone has any help for me, pls drop me a line. I honestly can’t go on feeling this sick for 7 to 8 weeks. Thank you! We all have too support one another too gain as much ammunition we can too stand up too our doctors & know what’s best for our bodies. Sending hugs to all. LAB54

Yes dreamjean, I stopped Prolia after one shot 2 years ago after my dental specialists told me too get off them immediately. My bone graft didn’t integrate after I had a tooth pulled along with infections & pain where I still can’t eat on one side. They told me it was the Prolia. I had none of these bad side effects we share like on Evenity. Just dental! Then came Forteo, but couldn’t afford the cost so I was put on Evenity. I have Cardiomyopathy with high cholesterol & was cleared by my Cardiologist before being put on Evenity but take a daily dose of stain. But these side effects are really bad! I’m afraid too try anything else as I don’t do well with them. Thank you!

Evenity was my worst nightmare as well & don’t plan on continuing with it whatsoever. I tried two drugs with nothing but pain & suffering. Like you, I will take vitamin supplements & just exercise. Thank you & here’s too a better future for the both of us along with all of us women on this forum.
