Hey Jake first of all I am so glad to hear that you are seeing Dr.Grotz prior to surgery they said it would take 9 hrs. It took 11 hrs Dr.Grotz checked 27 lymph nodes which were all negative for any cancer so for my surgery I was told there were no complications. I did not have the Hipec because my cancer was only IN my stomach. I had 4 rounds of chemo FLOT than a pet scan Grotz said my tumor was almost completely dead according to the pet scan that was great news so he had me do 4 more rounds of chemo FLOT so here is a rundown of what I had.
Diagnosis in march of 2022 4 rounds of chemo FLOT pet scan 4 more rounds of chemo FLOT than my surgery in August my recovery was very good it was 4 days and on me second day I was eating solid foods. Well I hope this helps if not let me know 😁. Dave

Thanks Dave! I’m so happy for your wonderful outcome! I was diagnosed as stage 4, Mets to my colon and peritoneum. I trust Dr Gratz, have heard nothing but positive about him. I’ve been on FLOT for a year, every 2 weeks with immunotherapy. It’s getting very rough. Dropped the oxcaliplatin bc of side effects.

I have been trying to get appt with Dr Grotz and it’s been quite frustrating. I have stage 4 adenocarcinoma - diffused gastric cancer. I will keep on trying, because he seems to be terrific! Thanks for sharing Dave
