Partial Knee Replacement: Post-op pain

Hi! I am 3 1/2 weeks past having had replaced the right medial compartment of my left knee. My exercises feel fine and my range of motion is good, but walking still feels lousy and I need a cane (even to walk 1-2 blocks). When I walk I feel popping quite a bit (generally it feels better afterwards) and I also feel a pain which feels like it’s just under the kneecap/in the front part of the knee. I don’t know if this is all due to continued swelling and is normal, or if there is some misalignment of the kneecap possibly (even if I didn’t replace that part of the knee) or something else going wrong. Just wondering if these are normal symptoms or not, because I thought walking would feel better by now.

Swelling is very slowly abating but still worsens by the end of each day; also ai have finally moved just to Tylenol.

Hi pkrjuly, this thread is over a year old but I am wondering how you turned out, did the pain resolve and get better? I had that same area of concern, it seemed like it was just under the kneecap on the front side. Let me know how you solved it. Thanks
