I long time friend (acquaintance) suggested that I get a motorized wheelchair. I can't drive now not because of this condition but something else. I am so upset that my blood pressure went way up. Why can't people be supportive?????????

He probably meant well. I agree that it's important to interact with supportive people who are positive and optimistic. I am recovering from peripheral neuropathy, which many might have predicted to be unlikely.
