My GI doc and surgeon told me if the hernia was small , it was best to do nothing unless it was causing problems.

But I need to get my horrific cough ( gagging and throwing up at times ) that I've had for over ten yrs. once or twice a day and embarrassing when out to dinner !!! hopefully corrected. Surgeon thinks it will take care of it. I never knew I had a hernia.
