Try googling twenty or thirty yrs ago regarding ERT. It was discontinued due to a few deaths and cancer. But it was flawed as the nurses were older and used both estrogen and progesterone. Many felt that estrogen was safe, and progesterone was not. But we will no know as no more studies have confirmed either. Very sad that nobody has not run any more large trials.
