You are correct...few doctors will allow you to continue with this. I am lucky that he is one of them. Klonopin is what this is called in Europe and before I returned to the US I hoarded about one years supply and glad I did as it took a while to readjust to what used to be a reliaeble, governed country. Today? I wish I had never left France. I lived sur la coline in the country) Thanks for the note and good luck. There are other drugs out there with the same properties. It is a question of finding one that will cooperate.

I wanted to provide an update. It has now been 23 nights without Klonopin and I did bridge with CBD/THC gummies and now I am sleeping without aide. It is a good feeling. I am sure that an occasional sleepless night in my future and I don't mind taking a gummy if needed, but will aim to sleep unaided. I find that reading on the sofa for a bit in low lighting helps ready me for sleep. I wish everyone on this forum success with sleep and wearing off the drug.
