IBS Bowel Cancer and Asprin research
Hi , has anyone any experience with the research below ?
Newcastle University. "An aspirin a day keeps the bowel doctor away." ScienceDaily. ScienceDaily, 11 June 2020. < w.sciencedaily.com/releases/2020/06/200611183925.htm ?

.... thanks, will read. I have to be careful with aspirin (is asprin a typo, may not be good when searching?) but with bladder issues may have caused some bleeding/blood in urine in past ... would be great tho if this does prevent bowel issues
Hi @ani04, It is interesting research. For those members not familiar with the study...
"The international trial -- known as CAPP2 -- involved patients with Lynch syndrome from around the world and revealed that two aspirins a day, for an average of two and a half years, reduced the rate of bowel cancer by half."

I'm not a doctor and have not been diagnosed with IBS but do think this is something that needs to be discussed with your doctor, especially if you have other medical conditions. Here's some information from Mayo Clinic on the topic.

Hi, my apologies, Aspirin is the correct spelling .
Aspirin may not be suitable for everyone and should be discussed with your health practitioner, however I found the research very interesting and wondered whether other people had experience with the Research which is documented as 2020 in Australia.
