Hello! I just joined the group and I just found out last week that I'm positive to breast cancer. Tomorrow, I will have my MRI and I'm really concern, since I don't have all the details of what's stage this might be and what will happen. I'm a single mom with a 16 year old daughter and it's tough. Hope I can get the support I need and some guidance. Blessings!

Hello @joan23 it's hard waiting especially with a teenage daughter. This is the hardest part of the whole thing.

When you know more, you may have a test on your tumor called an Oncotype that will guide treatment.

Keep us posted. We have all had our own individual experiences but I hope this forum can be helpful!

When waiting I walked, watched a lot of Netflix and got a few Ativan from my doc 🙂

Hi @joan23, I can imagine that you're concerned. As you can see, you have a great circle of support of women here who will support you every step of the way.

I remember living with a 16 year old. That is a journey in itself. With this diagnosis, you and she have additional challenges. I wonder if you might find some of the tips and resources in this related discussion helpful (now or perhaps later).
