Are you saying that your sister got osteoporosis from taking Esomeprazole? I was on it for a year and half. I have osteoporosis so this is alarming! I also have a hiatal hernia and Gerd and now a redundant colon that is causing all kinds of issues. I stopped the Esomeprazole because one of the side effects is constipation which I have an extreme case. I need to take something for the reflux simply because I feel awful when I don't but also, I am afraid I'll get Esophageal cancer. There are no good answers.
