What's your experience with Vertiflex Superion Implant?

Has anyone had the Veriflex Superion implant. I had it and it did not seem to work for me. Would appreciate any one that has information. Thanks

Hi @esperanza22, can you tell me more about your experience with Vertiflex Superion implant? Was the expandable implant inserted in more than one place? Did you experience any relief? What was the procedure like?

Sorry to hear about implant slipping. I have been going to my pain and management doctor for the past two months now, I had two series of the facet shots and that didn't work for me so now my doctor suggested the vertiflex procedure. I was looking at how it's worked for people.

I still have back pain and cannot stand for more than 5 min. I am going to a different pain management and he is going to give me a shot in that area. Other than that, I don’t know. Surgery was ruled out by a surgeon and a different pain management group ruled out the pain stimulator.

My original doctor recommended minimal invasive surgery stolen a steel cage and fusion starting to think I made a mistake by not doing that in the beginning I'm not getting any younger I'm 72 years old in the mornings I'm a little better by the afternoon I can hardly walk

I truly understand what you all are dealing with. I, too, had the Vertiflex procedure 2 years ago. Didn’t do a thing to relieve my pain from the beginning.
Fast forward 2 years, with X-rays & CT scan, a lot of my pain is stemming from the S1 joint.
I never thought it was from my hip.
I do have scoliosis, bulging discs, arthritis, ddd in my lower back.
I’m glad I didn’t go forward with the surgery with cage/fusion.
My hip hurts more than my back - the only relief I have is from sitting.
I’m waiting to get approval to have the LinQ Implant procedure.
It’s a minimal surgery.
I pray this is the answer to my pain as it truly is affecting my life.
I will say I had every injection possible in my L4-5 to no relief.
But when I had injection in the S1 joint - immediate relief for over a month. It felt like heaven not to experience pain for that amount of time.
