Has anyone improved bone density without meds?
I have a very problematic dental history and will continue to need additional root canals and implants. I also have Sjogren's Syndrome and want to avoid any drugs that cause rheumatic symptoms. Other issues in my health history make all of the meds risky for me. That said, I work out almost daily, lift weights, maintain a healthy diet, take all the recommended supplements, and get most of my calcium nutritionally. My endocrinologist wants me to take an infusion/injectable drug. I dread the side-effects, yet I'm afraid of fracturing, which hasn't happened over the many years I have had osteoporosis. That said, my numbers are getting worse (-3.2 spine, -3.1 hip). I need to do something more than I've been doing, and am at a loss. I need hope and solutions I can be at peace with. Thanks for any comments or suggestions!

Yes, it is the same but much less. The Ultra k2 has 15,000 mcg. Amazon carries the Ultra K2 if Klaire Labs is out of stock.
I use ankle weights, 2lbs. each. It is surprising how much I feel that little amount of weight.
There are several exercises I do with the ankle weights - leg lifts by bringing up your knee as high as you can, side leg lifts, back leg lifts, running in place, standing and then bending as if you’re going to sit and just touch the seat of a chair and come back up. Start with doing 8 reps of each and increase to 2 reps and 3 reps. Sometimes I’ll just walked around my house as I do chores with the weights in until I start to feel my legs say “enough.”
Thank you. I have never taken the K vitamin before, am doing so now. Will look for the stronger form.
Your recommendations are so manageable! House bound work outs are ones I can do. Plus, the health club is just a few streets away so I go there several times a week for the water based exercises and the hot tub.
In past efforts, I do remember, as you point out, that even the smallest weights are well noticed by my body!!
I really appreciate your shared insights. Thank you so much.
Thank you!
Thank you fi
I've added Thera Cal to my supplements. I like how it's NSF certified and has Vit K2 to help calcium get to where it has to go. I hope in a year I can say it helped. I know I improved but my doc can't tell how much was me and how much was tech error last time and different machine. (same hospital but different location)
I am slowly working up to heavier weights, and am encouraged by the studies on weighted vests too. Wake Forest did one on hips but spine will be done in 2024
Lol, I thought I edited this! Just wanted to say ty, again, for all you share with us. Your responses are always so clearly written and tremendously helpful.

I think there are some studies that show it occurs more frequently in countries like us and the Scandinavia that consume a lot of dairy. There's also that whole thing about the acid/alkaline and dairy makes the acid.
On the other hand, I know I read somewhere that plant based dieters have more osteoporosis. (This is depressing to me, because plant based is BETTER for breast cancer).
its definitely confusing.
It always depends who did the study.I bet the study that plant based dieters have more osteoporosis was a sponsored by some dairy company.
It is K2 that you need.
