How long do I wait between injections and PET scans.
What is the wait period between the PET scan and my next Lanreotide injection?
I had to wait 36 days before my last injection and the PET scan.. I was hoping to get an injection a day or 2 after the scan however the schedule pushed my oncologist scan review and my Lanreotide injection out another week.
Now I’m going on 6 weeks without the lanreotide in my body.
Is this normal or is it better to tighten up the schedule as not have such a long wait period. I’m full of anxiety just thinking the tumors will spread without this medication.

@puddknocker Too funny on the dentist comment. I was there yesterday. I'd much rather have a PET scan too.
Was terrified. still don't know results because cancelled dr appt..did not want to know. Does Dr call if something shows up on it??
My oncologist discusses PET results after my differential blood cell count is done, and we go over those numbers at the same time. The next treatment dosage is calculated on the cell counts. We also talk about side effects and things like that. At the very beginning he prescribed Prochlorperazine, which is for migraines, nausea, and anxiety. I think I have only taken one of those. Maybe you should call your doctor or nurse, and explain to them that you need something for anxiety.
