Looking for tips on how to make surgery recovery easier. I am having a right sided thyroid lobectomy on aug 24 due to a suspicious nodule and pet scan activity. During surgery they will be using nerve monitoring.

@amm97 - RFA is a fairly new procedure and there aren’t as many surgeons who do it, Your surgeon might not recommend it because they do not do it. It might be worth asking your surgeon about it….it would just be a second opinion; and it would be a less invasive procedure. A procedure that might prevent you from having to have an organ removed sounds like a very good option! If you surgeon does not know anyone who does it, just do a google search. Good Luck!
