I have to schedule another Prolapse Surgery..and other things

I have to have another surgery to correct the failed surgery I just had last October. It has been very miserable ever since as I just never recovered and now the prolapse condition is much worse than it was before that first surgery... I can barely eat... It is also compounded by the fact I was given a 90 day vacate notice to move from my apartment of 20 years so I cannot actually schedule the surgery until I know I have found somewhere safe and decent to live and be able to recuperate for 4 weeks or so. In the meantime, I am trying to pack things and take them to a storage unit I rented. The first surgeon only "pulled up" the prolapse robotically ... That particular surgeon is no longer practicing as I received a letter six months ago explaining he was disabled... So the new Surgeon I met with last week said he has to cut some of my colon out and do a Laparoscopy ,,, apparently my colon is just swimming around by the looks of the ultrasound I was shown.... it all sounds very frightening to me. He assured me I will feel much better and everything will function well after this surgery... But right now, I am feeling very ill, very alone and more than depressed... I am devastated by this and that I can not turn to family during this time. I just sit here in this apartment of 20 years surrounded by boxes and things are just scattered everywhere ,,, no one to talk to ever... i'm 62 and sometimes I think... this is how it ends for me... Thanks for reading ...

I am so sorry about all you are going through. Feeling alone is terrible and until a person has been through it they really don’t understand. It is important to go with your gut about choosing a doctor and I hope you are able to find support as you work through this. I wish I had some ideas on resources and will continue to think about it and let you know if I can come up with any ideas.

I'm so sorry to hear that your surgery was not successful. I also had rectal prolapse surgery in February where they pulled the colon up and attached it to ligaments in my back. It was successful and I am completely healed. The only problem I have is constipation whichI have to work with. Where did you get your first surgery?
