Is this an autoimmune rash?

I just finished my third immunoglobulin infusion for CIDP. I am on a path that requires them two-days every three weeks. Anyway, just prior to the last infusion I noticed hives on my shoulders and arms, at first I thought it was a heat rash but it has continued to get worse. Now I have it on my back and legs and my hands seem to have dermatitis which is manifesting into a rash as well. If I leave it alone and treat it with cortisone ointment and take a Benadryl a couple of times a day I seem to feel ok. From my reading I assume this is a reaction to the Privigen and that my body is attempting to adjust to the infusion of a blood product. I have a call into my doctor, but my guess is he will tell me the same thing.

As a follow up, the hives/rash and dermatitis on my hands are among the most common reactions to Privigen. The all continue to bloom and have continued to spread. The doc is ordering a 250ml saline infusion before and after the Privigen infusion. It itches a lot more now and going into direct sunlight it feels like pins and needles. This is all superficial and, otherwise, I feel better than I did before I started the Privigen infusions.
