@annie27

I had a total hysterectomy when I was 35 years old then started hormone replacement therapy I was unable to have children prior to the hysterectomy. I am now 61 years old and I am still on hormone replacement therapy.
My bleeding commenced in April I had a urinary tract infection a couple of weeks prior to this I suspected it had something to do with that. I had pain on my lower right side lower back pain excruciating pain while urinating with blood this lasted all day. The following morning it had disappeared this happened on another couple of occasions. I also bleed during intercourse red blood and quite a bit. I have spotted red blood off and on most days I finally made an appointment with a female GP early May not my regular GP. Had an internal examination and was told everything looked normal and that for my age I looked really good internally was told it must be because I have been on hormone replacement for so long but not able to explain what is causing the bleeding. Had a CT scan performed nothing was found. I have now made another appointment to see the same female GP in a couple of weeks time I will ask to take a biopsy or Pap smear see if anything will show or change in cells. I have been thinking it could be early stages of cancer. I have had a genetic test for reproductive cancer and yes I have the genes for reproductive cancer and breast cancer. I only had the genetic test performed because my father succumbed to liver cancer when he was 64 and my sister passed away from multiple brain tumours at 56 years old. My other sister at age 63 was diagnosed with multiple myeloma had all treatments the specialist gave her 5 years to live she has just gone past 4 years. My other sister was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer when she was 60 she had radiation treatment and stem cell therapy but refused to have chemotherapy because she was so sick with other treatments. She has made it to 63 she was told if it returns she will not make it. A brother with aggressive prostate cancer he is in his 70s. Has anyone had similar symptoms to mine as I am thinking it could be cancer. Thank you Annie

I'm 50 with stage 3 esophageal cancer... Bleeding below the waist is never normal, healthy,ok. I had many tests done where "everything is normal looking" until another test found the problem . Example: dysphagia which wasn't diagnosed as cancer until more tests were done 10 months into it and me weighing 95 pounds. I had an infection that caused massive blood ejaculations. It was unsettling and took awhile for the docs to detect it . Get checked,checked thoroughly,listen to yourself, take the antibiotics. My issue healed fortunately minus the cancer. Blessings to you.
