Hello, good people. I am scheduled, soon, for carotid artery surgery... to remove plaque buildup. I would like to know "What is considered to be "full recovery from carotid artery surgery"?
I learned about the plaque buildup... during preparation for Hip Replacement Surgery. My hip is so damaged... that I can barely walk. And... I need the carotid surgery.... before... the hip replacement surgery.
So... I wonder how "my weakened condition because of my damaged hip" will affect the carotid artery surgery recovery?
And... I wonder "how much recovery time will be needed (from the carotid surgery)... before I can safely undertake Hip Replacement Surgery?
Thank you for any information.

@jittery Hi Back in 1996 I had a triple by pass my artery,s the Dr. told me where 95%,85%and 90% blocked from cholesterol ,afterwards I had 6 weeks cardio exercise I did what Dr told me to stop eating red meat because of the fat I followed up yearly by having a treadmill test In 2015 I had nuclear stress test to see if my heart ❤ was, I passed the test without anymore plaque in arteries after all these years once you have the by pass just listen to your Dr,s instructions and you,'ll do fine Its a combination of medicine, diet and exercise every day.

@jittery After my CAD surgery I was in the hospital 5,days and did 6,weeks of recovery mainly walking every day for 45,minutes each day Of course Went back to cardiologist after 3weeks
