Hi, I didn't have the headache but hip, joint, back aches after 6th injections. Stopped after 11th as I just couldn't do it anymore as it was affecting my mobility and I had no mobility issues prior. I will say I had incredible increases in bone density (DEXA) after 11 months of injections, 49% in spine. I stopped in February and I am not feeling pretty much like myself again. Have been on Fosomax since stopping. You know your body and the first 6 mos or so of Evenity build bone the most so just make your decisions on information and how you feel. Hope this helps you.

Thank you , I also have horrible neck pain . Joints hurt too. I did call my enocrinologist. They talked to my Dr . He said I can go off and switch to the absorption or whatever it is . Apparently the 1 st 6 months is where you get the most benefits . I asked about a Dec Scan but they don’t know if Ins will cover it. I had one in Dec . So not a yr . I may call and check . That should give me answers . . Mine was very bad . Because in 2018 . And 2019 . I was put on Forteo . Nothing after that . Drs failed me big time . It was a surgeon that put me on Forteo . So I could have a cervical neck fusion. You don’t keep going back to surgeons .
So after a yr . He tried to order Tymlos. Ins denied . Never contacted me or anything. Out of Mayo Net Work . My Medical Dr. Knows nothing other than take supplements lol
. Wrong . For this reason I need to be sure I don’t go backwards . Been a yr off work due to fractured foot . Slow healing , No healing .

Read new book Great Bones by R Keith McCormick (He is a chiropractor and a competitive athlete that has found a way to "come back"). A thick book but can be used as reference to take better control ourselves. The author has walked the osteoporosis road himself so he has a lot of good info and you don't have to read every word if you don't have time. I found it very helpful. I also started taking BoneUp 3 times a day. Also, I self payed for DEXA as I wasn't due either. Hospital charges way more than independent imaging places where I live. I paid around $125 at independent location so thought it was worth it to know what direction I was going after Evenity. Hope this helps!

Others have commented that if the Evenity is not followed up with other meds the benefit from Evenity is lost. But I cannot take the other medications, so maybe that means that Evenity will not help in the long run.

Yes you have to follow up with Reclast or Fosomax or similar. I went with Fosomax as the Evenity injections really affected me. So far okay on Fosomax.

Did he use the pharmacueticals? Or natural path remedies?

His focus is on overall well being and bone health as naturally as you can but recognizes sometimes meds are needed. Good vitamins, food etc
