Anal itching with colon cancer?

Has anyone experienced anal itching after having surgery for colon cancer? Stage 4, here with metastasis to the liver in September 2020. Surgery in March 2021. It has just recently started. Seems to get better with the hydrocortisone cream I was prescribed by my PC Dr. But as soon as I have another BM, and if multiple in one day, or diarrhea, itching returns. Have some mucus in some stools, but not every one. Haven’t reached out to Onco Dr yet. My concern is anal cancer. Any advice from anyone would be appreciated. Thank you

Yes, my colorectal surgeon said this is a symptom of anal cancer. Ointment helps.

Did you consult with your oncologist or symptom management nurse about the itching? Did you find something to relieve the anal itching?
