Duloxetine 20mg
I took my first capsule of Duloxetine 20 mg. When I went to sleep, my heart was beating fast, also did not sleep well. Should I keep going or pack it in. I hope someone on here can give me some good advice.
Thanks so much!

It is not my usual practice to tell a specific brand/dose I use of any medication or supplement, but in this case, the brand was recommended by my pain rehab clinic doc and pharmacist. I use Swanson Curcumin Complex (curcumen longa extract) 300 mg and peperine (black pepper extract) 50mg. Black pepper makes curcumin be absorbed more readily. My dose is 300mg 4x day, but that is with my doctor's concurrence. If you use it on your own, 900mg/day is the recommended maximum. I usually buy directly from Swanson.
If I buy supplements on Amazon, I always make sure they are from the originator (eg Swanson) or Amazon itself and not from a reseller. Otherwise there is reportedly a risk of counterfeits.

When I awake too early and feel so tired, I take about 3 mgs of Ambein (I bite off 1/3rd of a 10mg caplet) and go bk to sleep for three or four hours. Adequate sleep is required to avoid big increases in Fibromyalgia pain or flares. I am on Lyrica three times a day but it doesn’t stop tye burning headaches I start having every night at 10pm. Never fails darn it!
I’m sorry, that has got to be scary.Did you go back to the prescribing Doctor? I have been on it, for 4 years, never any reaction of any kind and, I have 6 Heart Stents!! My advice is to go back to your Doctor right away. Also make sure if you have any underlying conditions He knows about them!! Good Luck.
Hi there! I have a TON of experience with antidepressants. I would recommend starting this drug in the AM. The first 2 weeks can cause anxiety symptoms (not for everyone but for me it does). I called my doctor and she encouraged me to stick with it and it will go away... she was right. It goes away. I now take it at night bc it makes me sleepy. If you can push through the first 2 weeks, it does it get better and helps a lot of people. Best of luck. Let me know if you have any questions!
I’ve been taking ambien for ten years I developed insomnia during menopause I’ve had no side effects and will continue to take it. I wake up refreshed in te mornings
I just took my first dose of 20 mg duloxetine and I’m not enjoying the way I feel at all. How long before this one dose wears off? Doc prescribed it to replace gabapentin for neuropathy but I’m sure I won’t make it through the time it takes to start working. Should I decide to move forward (VERY much on the fence), does it contribute to constipation at all? Definitely won’t make it if it does.
I use 90 mg of ER duloxetine at bedtime - morning use didn't work at all for me either, but I was so miserable I stuck with my pain doc and figured out what works - we started with 30, then 60, and recently increased to 90 - all at bedtime. The ER (extended release) is much easier to tolerate as it is released slowly into the body.
I took my first dosage of 20mg duloxetine yesterday and I hated the way it made me feel..heart pounding (and I already have hypertension) nausea, and zero pain relief for my PAD, which is why it was prescribed. I can say after the initial feelings, about 5 hours later it settled down and had a calming effect. I was glad for this turn, but it did not help the pain it was prescribed for. I hope you find relief soon. I know this works for others, just didn’t for me.
Be happy that you're not taking it. Withdrawal from this drug is horrific.
