You are right in your suggestion about the probable undesired redistribution of calcium between bones and vascular system. It happens. However, as I mentioned before, osteoporosis itself is linked to the incorrect distribution of calcium between bones and vascular system. Scientists do not understand yet what happens first: calcification of blood vessels or diminished calcium in bones. I put the link on the latest state of art in medicine on this theme:

@melia7 my post on what happens to calcium was to express concern about the level of calcium another poster was taking. I take 800 mg and my levels are around 10.
