What advantage plan of Medicare PPO do Mayo take? I live out of state
What ppo advantage plan of Medicare do Mayo take in general and Minnesota specially? I live out of state and patient service currently refuses to provide a straight answer. I need 3rd revision. Drs in my area won't help and refered me to contact Mayo as last option. They won't take my Aetna PPO insurance but won't reviel what other Medicare plans accept.
Any one has an idea would help me soon much.tx

Try Mayo Clinic contracted insurance plans
I just googled it and there are too many to list.
I saw the list while ago. This list is outdated and when you call mayo to verify wether a plan from that list is accepted, the answer most of the time is no longer accepted.
All I can suggest is that you look for hospitals and doctors who take your insurance. I have a Medicare advantage plan and I look there first to find out who to see and where to go. Of course you could do an internet search of the Mayo Clinic closest to you. Pick a doctor and then see if that doctor takes your insurance. They will list the insurances that they take and if you need further assistance just call their number.
When I first went on Medicare I got a letter from Mayo that they didn't accept any Advantage plans and that they would transfer my records wherever I wanted if I decided to go that route. I signed up for a Supplement plan instead and have had no issues using Medicare and that plan at Mayo.
Medicare Advantage is a rip off. They have a high rate of denial of claims. Medicare never denies in my experience, as long as your doctor takes Medicare. Try to get back on regular Medicare at the end of the year or whenever it renews. You may have to be persistent.
We have an Aetna supplement plan. Medicare pays first, then Aetna! I needed labs while traveling and local area was served by Mayo Clinic! No problem with coverage! We travel a lot and go south for Winter, so a supplement plan is best because it is covered almost everywhere!
But aren't the supplements plans super expensive? I heard $200-$300 monthly
That's my plan for now if pain won't get worse
Something to consider once new open enrollment starts
There are several options for plans and many organizations that offer them. I have a plan through AARP and United Healthcare.
