You are in the right group. I, for one, have symptoms resembling yours and have seen my PCP and a neurologist. I have had a CT brain scan, an MRI brain scan with and without contrast and an occipital nerve block. All anyone can say at this point is that my opthalmic nerve is misbehaving. I get some relief taking 200 mg of gabapentin at night and 200 mg in the morning but I continue to have low level pain. Some, apparently, get some relief by taking carbamazepine.

I am 81 years old.

The first part of your text is exactly the way I went, seeing all those Doctors, having all the same tests. I have had an allergic reaction to Gabapentin, throat totally CLOSED, so that's out.
This is the first time I heard of that one. I am going to look that up next!!
