Has anyone improved bone density without meds?
I have a very problematic dental history and will continue to need additional root canals and implants. I also have Sjogren's Syndrome and want to avoid any drugs that cause rheumatic symptoms. Other issues in my health history make all of the meds risky for me. That said, I work out almost daily, lift weights, maintain a healthy diet, take all the recommended supplements, and get most of my calcium nutritionally. My endocrinologist wants me to take an infusion/injectable drug. I dread the side-effects, yet I'm afraid of fracturing, which hasn't happened over the many years I have had osteoporosis. That said, my numbers are getting worse (-3.2 spine, -3.1 hip). I need to do something more than I've been doing, and am at a loss. I need hope and solutions I can be at peace with. Thanks for any comments or suggestions!

Hi,
Currently I am driving two hours each way to go to OsteoStrong. I have really enjoyed it but I won’t know if my bone density has increased until
I have another Dexascan in November ( hopefully) Insurance probably won’t cover it after a year but I would be happy to pay for my own. I think that’s quite a scam. A lot can happen in two years.
@trathfon62 since you’re actually doing the osteostrong, would you tell me a little about it? I’ve read the website and get that it’s isometric. Do you hold each pose for 30 seconds or longer? I’d have to drive 4 hours one way to try one.
I would like to know where to get Osteopro also

I only learnt about the existence of osteopor recently and started to explore it. Hope to get this information in few days and then put the link here.
Hello I was just diagnosed with osteoporosis and my ND put me on bioidentical HRT- a patch . I have heard you must keep on it for life or you will lose bone rapidly just like the first years after menopause. One of the best ways to build bone is through strength training. Look up the Liftmor trials and the BEST trials. Its encouraging! My ND also made sure I didn't have underlying problems and found that I had pancreatic enzyme deficiency ( due to a gastro surgery) So now I am on pancreatic enzymes. Like everyone else I recommend reading Dr. McCormick's new book Great Bones.
To those considering Osteostrong. It sounds very good - just a short time working out , using maximum weights….. however CAUTION!!! As people have fractured using this program. I don’t know your age, your circumstances, but I would investigate it more before engaging in this program. I read a comment that someone was recommending it to their granddaughters…. Now for them it may be safe and beneficial for those in their 20’s. But for people with osteoporosis, in all my reading it says to stay away from this program. Do your own research so you are convinced. Be safe!!
Thank you so much!
I can’t find any articles on google regarding that medication. Do you know where I can find out more information?
I would steer clear of Dr. Fishman and his yoga poses, having discussed this with my physical therapist. I too thought the poses might be part of The Answer! ☹️
@sandy0257 -
Are you referring to the Osteopor? No idea where to find it and can’t find any info on it either. The hydroxyapatite is ground up grass fed New Zeland cow bones. I ordered mine from
https://woodstockvitamins.com/search-results/?q=Hydroxyapatite%20. It is supposedly the best absorbed calcium. But I had a friend who died from mad cow disease and haven’t talked myself into taking it yet.
