I was far from home during covid time when I was in chemo. So had very few choices about anything, especially nutrition. I stayed in a "hospital guest house" room for a lot of the time. The weather was cold and oxaliplatin made it too painful to go outside, shop or touch any metal -- so no cooking--and I was too sick to cook anyway. Had very little in the way of nutrition for the first few months (lived on cheese, crackers, Ramen and HoneyNut Cheerios straight from the box plus a few bottles of dreadful tasting protein drinks) until I could get home to a warmer climate and help from my husband and friends. No idea what supplements would have helped at the time other than protein drinks. I still don't know what supplements would help.

Do you know what are some worthwhile supplements? I've just stuck to fruits, veggies and home prepared (from scratch) basic foods as an adult so confess I know nothing about supplements, other than B12 since I don't eat red meats.

Patti,
what a strong woman you are. You were far from home and you went through it...without your family. Apparentlly, it was a good hospital and worth it. I am so happy you are better now. That is remarkable, to tough it out like that.
I do not know much either, I just got a 8 mushroom set of capsules, bitter melon capsules, green tea capsules for energy, Essentiale Forte n300...that is about it.
Have to ask the doctor if i can take it with chemo.
