Hello all,
I am a heart transplant recipient, have had both hips replaced (consequence of immune-suppressant drugs which leech cartilage out of joints), and have started to develop pain in my hands particularly in the morning. I also have an occasional muscular pain in my right thigh. I am banned from any n-saids as they can damage my already at-risk kidneys (immune-suppressants, again). Any pain meds, prescription or others wise that you can suggest?

Many thanks and...
Best always,
s!

You might try going to a physical therapist who is a DPT who is also a board certified orthopedic clinical specialist who also has dry needling credentials.

Voltarin gel helps. It’s over the counter. Also heat is great

Hi,
I also have similar issues. You might look for a pool that has classes for arthritis. I find relief just being in a certified pool, the certification is for temperature. You can take a class or not. You do not have to do laps.just being in the water is relief.
