Do you have an inspiring or favorite quote to share?
I'll start with three quotes from the very inspiring Helen Keller as noted in "Your Year of Healing" book by Amit Sood, MD:
"Although the world is full of suffering, it is also full of the overcoming of it."
"The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched -- they must be felt with the heart."
"Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much."

Similar to some of the other quotes about bad times coming to an end, this one is from Shakespeare's play "Macbeth":
The night is long
that does not find the day.
Gotta love the Bard. 🙂
I don't know who said it, but here goes: "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result."
I love Hemingway's definition of courage: " grace under pressure." Perfect!
Here is an example from real life.
A compassionate 6-year-old girl was in the first grade and had just learned reading and writing. She decided to write a heartwarming story about a hippo boy who had no friends. He had only one eye and was ignored by the other hippos. But one day he met a hippo girl with only one ear. They fell in love, got married, and had a hippo baby... with no nose. And they all lived happily ever after.
That 6-year-old girl grew up to become a compassionate loving wife and mother, who is a successful professional writer.
The child and the adult are actually the same person.
The child is the father [or mother] of the man [or woman].
I am very proud of her, my daughter.
I just came across one from my bronchiectasis & MAC group I thought was a good one:
Happiness is truly and "inside" job. (isn't that the truth!)
I always liked Janis Joplin! She wasn't the cutest thing but she sang very well! So did Mama Cass!

Each time we face our fear, we gain strength, courage and confidence in the doing. --Theodore Roosevelt
I am 65 and, I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up!
Life is what you make it,!
Make it a good one!
In "Monterey Pop" Mama Cass is watching Janis with a look of awe--it's on YouTube.
