Toes and foot neuropathy

Posted by Marilyn McFarland @1942marilyne, Jul 4, 2023

I just went to podiatrist yesterday and found out my foot neuropathy was related to my back and spine problems. I was clear on no diabetes and no peripheral artery disease. So glad to know a reason and need to now explore next steps.

Hi Marilyn @1942marilyne, Well at least it's good news you don't have diabetes or peripheral artery disease. There are a couple of related discussions you might want to explore:

I have experience with foot exercise with the same benefit. Pain is gone if I do foot exercise daily.

I only have numbness and cold in my toes(poor circulation?) so I do toe stands every AM along with other stuff...My toes feel cold when I touch them so it might be poor circulation more than anything else...exercising seems to work well...tho' I am unsteady sometimes.

Just curious as to how your podiatrist determined this. What tests did he perform?

Walking in water and moving feet in all possible directions while in water. Electrical stimulation with TENS units available on Amazon. Good old foot massage. Vibration on feet and foot massage with knurled balls available on Amazon. Simply rolling foot on a knurled ball available at CVS or any sporting goods store. Do it while watching TV.
