Do you have an inspiring or favorite quote to share?
I'll start with three quotes from the very inspiring Helen Keller as noted in "Your Year of Healing" book by Amit Sood, MD:
"Although the world is full of suffering, it is also full of the overcoming of it."
"The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched -- they must be felt with the heart."
"Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much."

"Nothing Tastes as Good as Healthy Feels"
Copied from my diabetes FB group. Anyone who has trouble staying away from junk food will understand this.
Sorry for the repeat, I was not in the group then. And it still is a good idea.
@captboat Thanks for joining in!

It sure can't hurt to do repeat posts! Saves us all from scrolling back- haha!
These are great! I've written a lot of them into my wire bound index card booklet that I read when I need inspiration/motivation, etc.
I'm putting the food one/ eat healthy on a post-it note and sticking it where I can see it from my couch-- that's where I snack the most! Maybe I'll put one on the fridge door, too!
Thanks, everyone!
Similar to some of the other quotes about bad times coming to an end, this one is from Shakespeare's play "Macbeth":
The night is long
that does not find the day.
Gotta love the Bard. 🙂
I don't know who said it, but here goes: "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result."
I love Hemingway's definition of courage: " grace under pressure." Perfect!
Here is an example from real life.
A compassionate 6-year-old girl was in the first grade and had just learned reading and writing. She decided to write a heartwarming story about a hippo boy who had no friends. He had only one eye and was ignored by the other hippos. But one day he met a hippo girl with only one ear. They fell in love, got married, and had a hippo baby... with no nose. And they all lived happily ever after.
That 6-year-old girl grew up to become a compassionate loving wife and mother, who is a successful professional writer.
The child and the adult are actually the same person.
The child is the father [or mother] of the man [or woman].
I am very proud of her, my daughter.
