I was mistaken in assuming the Tymlos patch was slow release. It was applied for 5 minutes a day. In a phase 3 trial, the patch was less effective than injections and had more adverse reactions reported. However, fewer people dropped out because of those reactions so the patch may be slightly ssfer.
