marylin14, perhaps you might try another type of Magnesium. You don't say which kind you used. I take 1,000 mg of Magnesium Citrate daily. Often I take 1,500 mg. If you take too much for your body, you may end up with diarrhea. Citrate supposedly enables Magnesium to be better absorbed. I take half in the morning and half at night.
