I am so sorry to hear about your daughter. My 4th GI doctor did an EUS - Electronic Ultrasound on April 10th. He discovered moderate inflammation all over my stomach and polyps. Gastritis is what I believe he thought the inflammation was from. He prescribed me Sucralfate 1 gm 2 times a day. Most websites say you should take it 4 times per day
but he said twice. It made me very nauseous so I started taking Zofran as well. It was still hard for me to eat but after about 6 weeks my pain was pretty much gone. The web says it can take up to 8 weeks to work. I still feel bloating and discomfort after eating much but I think that is because I had lost 33 pounds during the 1st 12 months I was dealing with this. It is miserable and you can’t understand until you experience it. I hope this helps. One other major thing is I went to a pain management doctor in December when I was down to 95 lbs and he was shocked at my size. He prescribed me one 4 mg pill of Hydromorphone per day to be taken 40 minutes before I ate. Then I would eat even a few slices of turkey and try to drink some fluids for hydration and I wouldn’t feel the pain and discomfort from eating and drinking. I gained 5 pounds in 4 months this way. He was a God send for my overall health. I saw 3 GI’s at that point, spent 7 days total in the hospital, 4 or 5 ER visits and not one Dr cared about my weight loss and dehydration. I have now gained another 2 lbs but am having to pay out of pocket for IV fluids. I can’t find a Dr that takes dehydration seriously enough to prescribe it for me so my insurance will pay. I don’t understand!! Best of luck to you and your daughter. Please let me know if you find a solution.
