Foot neuropathy: What gives you relief?
It seems if I get enough activity/exercise daily I don’t have pain; if not, am awakened from sleep and must get up (even in the middle of the night). What’s going on & what more should I do to avoid rest-disruption?

Which brand of lipoic acid are you using and does it bother your stomach?
Hi,
I use HMS Nutrition (from Amazon) for a few reasons. One, it’s the natural version (that’s the R-ALA). Two it’s 300 mg. (twice a day). and finally it’s in capsule form. Very few with all 3. The 300 mg. x2 does not upset my stomach. However, cannot speak to higher dosage.
Good luck.

1 ReactionI was diagnosed with PN in 2016. It took many, many years to find foot relief that was long lasting. I will list what I have found that helps, in case it will help someone else. I have to follow a particular regime. (This is after several years of trial and error.) Without boring you to death with all the details, here are a few "musts" that I follow everyday.
I wake up and rub my feet with THC ointment. Then, I always put on "Soothesocks" (elastic toeless), after the ointment and before I put on my "regular" socks. Then, I put on my "tennis shoes" (lots of different names for those babies now), but NEVER the same pair of sneakers 2 days in a row. I have six pair. There are times when I must change my shoes in the middle of the day. I go through the same morning routine at night. I rub my feet with the THC ointment except I DO NOT wear the elastic socks to bed. I must admit, I cannot take those elastic socks off UNTIL I am ready to go to bed or the pain come rushing back! That routine works for me right now! Best wishes!

2 ReactionsHow do I post my problem?
Losing weigh can be challenging, especially if you're older & on medications that can cause weight gain. I have recently lost 10 lbs using a website called http://www.fatsecret.com. Using this tool, you can precicely calculate everything you are eating in a day. You can keep track of calories, carbs, protein, etc very accurately. I favor low carb & since I am small, I keep my calories at under 1200 & net carbs under 20, while keeping my protein at optimum levels (on some days I add whey protein, if necessary). I eat 3 meals a day. Fatsecret has thousands of foods to choose from, including some restaurants, and allows you to adjust portion sizes. I posts everything I eat, even including a stick of gum. It's very educational & enlightening to have a tool that accurately calculates daily food consumption. Just something you might want to check out. Good luck on your mission.

2 ReactionsTake Medicinal Marijuana and magnesium. Cut out caffeine completely.
What brand name of elastic socks do you buy
Due to type 2 diabetes I have neuropathy in my feet and legs, they always feel cold to me.
I was active and walked 3 miles daily until I had a stroke 2 years ago. That stroke left me with damage to my left leg, it is weak and greatly impacts my balance.
I walk in a pool now.
