I wear compression socks pretty much 24/7. I double them up to help with the minimal walking I do. At night my feet really hurt. I don’t quite understand why. It may be that there are no distractions but I don’t know. Along with the pain, my feet swell more at night. They can swell so much that the compression socks become too tight and cause a lot of pain. I end up taking them off and make a late night trip to the restroom a much more difficult task.
Good question that hopefully a doctor can answer. My PN is more severe and they told me that I would have swelling of my feet. Though I am confused about you not having any pain. I have a lot of pain on the inside of my feet. On the outside of my feet, my nerves are dead or asleep so I have no feeling in my feet unless it’s a really hard contact and it hurts from the inside out. It’s also affected my balance or equilibrium. I have to take things slow or I have problems. I’m not diabetic and they have not found the cause.
