Osteoarthritis - what helps?
I,m looking forward to the webinar tomorrow. I have osteoarthritis in most of the joints in my body, the worst being in my neck and upper back. The only war I can get any relief is via strong pain medications.
This is the first I've heard about the use of stem cells for osteoarthritis.

I look forward to your continuing the conversation in the discussions.
In short - they removed 8 syringes of belly fat by making a small incision then isolated the stem cells via a machine and injected the stem cells into my ankle joint

Had a bruised belly fo about a week and although the incision was merely covered with a band aid it remained quite tender for about 2 weeks

An interesting procedure for sure
when is it on for est?
I listened to the Webinar and it looks like stem cells are definitely the
wave of the future. However, if you have bone on bone, I think a new hip
will help you feel like a new person. I am 66 and have had both hips done
within an 18 month period and it was a piece of cake. The recovery period
is not difficult at all - you are up the same day or early the next. I used
a walker for about a week, a cane for another, and then I was off on my
own. I did the prescribed exercises on my own and have full range of motion
with no discomfort. Knees, on the other hand are another story. I have had
one knee replaced and will definitely seek stem cell treatment for the
other if needed before ever submitting to another knee replacement.
Hi: I have been DX with osteoarthritis of the Rt hip in 2011. I had 2 steroid shots the first year and then I asked for PT. Spent a year doing the PT exercises at home and for the past 2 years I have been going to the gym . I do not have pain so do not take pain pills. I am very active ; climbed to the top of red rock canyon in Las Vegas last week. My concern is when do I need to take action about the lack of cartilage? I do not want surgery and was interested in stem cell therapy instead of hip replacement. Does anyone have experience in this? I see my MD about once a year and he looks at the xray and says " that does not look so good".
Welcome to Connect, Desert Rat. I moved your message here so you can meet @janekircher @jansaunds, and @rebhrich who are also living with osteoarthritis. @ankle has had stem cell therapy and says it is working so far.

IS THERE SOMEBODY WITH OSTEUARTROE OF HIS THUMB?
Is this like osteoarthritis? Pain in the base of your thumb?
Hi @pablo8. I moved your post over to this thread where a number of people have been discussing their experience with osteoarthritis. I recommend reading back through the conversation.
I'm also tagging @dedicated, @cea62952, @spiritgoddess06 and @mombo83 who have posted about osteoarthritis in the hands and fingers specifically and may be able to provide some insights and support.
Pablo, are you suffering from osteoarthritis in your thumb? What have you tried in terms of treatment?
