Since this discussion is part of the Diabetes & Endocrine System group, I’m jumping in here. Diabetes affects anything else you might have. Anything else you might have affects the ability to control diabetes. The blood pressure you mentioned would not be considered high for me. But this is not a place for members & mentors to diagnose or prescribe. We simply share what we have experienced to support each other and that no one is alone. You (original author) didn’t say that you are diabetic, what med you are on for blood pressure control or what issues you are having. Would you be comfortable doing that? A common blood pressure medication, Lisinopril, has a side effect of a dry nonproductive cough.

I was on lisinopril, then PA change it to valsartan 40 mg and it lowered my blood pressure too much And I started getting bruises. Went to the Dr and now I have losartan 25mg. It’s awful I am 74 and I had never been on any medications. I am pre diabete.
