My doc wanted me to start with Boniva and work up to the next med. I started taking hyoscyamine for the IBS-D and I’m not sure about it either! I’ll see how the next week or so go.

I was on hyacyamine for abominal pain due to IBS. I was on Actonel for 10 which caused erosion in my esophagus. I was put on 80 mg omeprazole for a year. A few months later I
developed diarrhea and can relate . Once stopping Actonel and omeprazole, I managed to get it under control with probiotics and gradually adding more fiber to my diet. How, a family member developed diarrhea after being put on Fosamax and then Actonel. Same results. Please discuss your issues with your doctor. Diarrhea can cause nutritional deficiency that promotes osteoporosis. Best wishes for good health.
