I was approved for the Tymlos manufacturer’s coupon and have been given $7,000 on it per year to pay for it. I am 62, and my doctor advised me to do my two years on Tymlos before I hit 65 because sadly, this coupon is not available to me when I get on Medicare. Only given to people with commercial insurance for some reason. I have been on it for 3 months. I do still have the heart palpitations for about 30 minutes after my shot, but they have lessened some from when I started. I take it about 30 minutes before I go to bed so I don’t feel them when I am trying to go to sleep. I have gotten used to them so they don’t really bother me now. Other than this, I have not noticed any other side effects thankfully. I already had pain in my joints from my arthritis so I would not know if this has caused any pain. No nausea or increased tiredness that I can tell. I have been pleasantly surprised because I was very hesitant to start it, and was worried about the side effects. I have used the full 80 mcg dose from day one, but I usually tolerate medications fairly well.
