Thank you very much for explaining all of that. My Tymlos pen is arriving today and I am anxious to get the medicine started now that you and windy shores started at a low dose. That has calmed my concerns a lot so I am going to start with 2 clicks. I wonder if since I haven’t fractured yet if I can just increase by one per week. . . if the video is good I can use that to learn.

Two clicks is a good start to get you acquainted with the process and to ease the worries. Each person should decide when to go up. I went a little faster because my endocrinologist said she didn’t have a problem with it as long as I got to a therapeutic dose (the lowest dose at which the medicine yields the needed results) as soon as possible, and I knew that 3 or 4 clicks weren’t a therapeutic dose.
Since the maximum you can use this medication is 2 years, I am trying to balance my side effects with trying to get the most benefit out of it.
Of course, you should always discuss it with your doctor, but if you listen to your body, you will know how fast you can go up.
If you experience too much discomfort (like I did when I tried 7) you can always go back a click and let your body get used to it.
I hope you find it a lot less worrisome than it looks. I did.
