5 months post op and I still have thigh pain off and on. Still able to use treadmill doing 15 minutes at a time no more than 2 mph. I take acetaminophen and use a salonpas lidocaine large patch when it is particularly troublesome. Most days I can get away with just the acetaminophen. I am 75 years old.

Do you think it's maybe our hip flexors. I was walking but I have been sitting the rest of the day.

I am also 75 and 7 months post op total right hip replacement. Pain continues off and on, primarily with taking walks (1-4 miles depending on the degree of pain) 3-4 days/week at about 25 minutes/mile. I take ibuprofen or Tylenol primarily at night. It’s just nice to know I’m not alone. Others have done so much better and I really miss taking big hikes,

One of my friends had this happen and found out that the replacement was rubbing against a ligament causing the pain. She had the ligament clipped and then had to relearn to walk using only the surrounding muscles but the pain went away and she is doing fine now. It took about 2 years to diagnose, treat and do PT to strengthen her walking ability. Maybe have your medical team do an MRI or CT scan to if something might be impinging on the replacement device?
