Replies to "People are telling me I cannot do this anymore, that I need to make other arrangements...."
Your house is your financial nest egg for your own care later on. Your house cannot be taken from you to cover cost of care for your husband.
Could you ask your neurologist or cancer doc to connect you with a (hospital?) social worker so you can know what all your options are? The social worker can also help you with the decision as to if it is the right time for you and your husband for other care and alleviate the guilt you might be feeling.
(I’m not looking forward to that decision either.)
It would be nice if the same people who are giving you the advice would volunteer to give you a break. Watch your husband, take you shopping, maybe to a movie, buy you some popcorn. If you belong to a Church, ask them if they have a help program and don't hesitate to lean on them. Your not begging, your asking a fellow Christian to help you.
