No not transfusion. Infusion cleansing up your blood and then returning to your bloodstream. Only few doctor’s have done it

I think a similar treatment may have been suggested to me—it was called plasmapherisis (I’m pretty sure I did not spell that right lol).

But like @simba2018 mentioned, it was an option because I have small fiber neuropathy (a type of peripheral neuropathy, which causes burning, tingling, or numbness but not weakness or typical “pain”) that might be autoimmune. It was my understanding it was only used for autoimmune neuropathy with those kinds of symptoms, but I decided not to go for it so I don’t remember.

There are a lot of other treatments before escalating to plasmapherisis or IVIG (also an option—that is an infusion). Unless someone has joint pain, usually they’d refer to a neurologist—they treat neuropathy. I also had an EMG, but EMGs are negative in small fiber neuropathy (but not in peripheral large fiber neuropathy, which is more common).
